Sleepout at St Albans Abbey

The North Herts Sanctuary has been fortunate enough to be chosen again as one of the four homeless charities to participate in the annual Sleep Out, which takes place in the grounds of St Albans Abbey on the 7th December 2007. Last year over £45,000 was raised by local sponsorship for the four selected homeless charities. The North Herts Sanctuary raised a grand total of nearly £11,000, this money was only raised due to the hard work and effort put in by organizations, businesses, churches and individuals.

This year is an exciting opportunity for us to try and better our fundraising efforts for the Sanctuary and to continue raising awareness of homelessness. Any monies raised will be used towards reducing the mortgage on our premises and towards improving and expanding our new projects for our clients.

There are a number of ways in which to help us:

1. Setting up an organized group to do the sponsored Sleep Out, all age groups are welcome. The relevant forms are available on request.
