BACKGROUND The North Herts Sanctuary is a registered charity (Registered Charity No: 1071610). We have been providing a night shelter for the homeless since 1992. Originally based in Letchworth, we moved to our current premises in Hitchin in 1999. It is open as a night shelter seven nights a week and the charity also provides day support service called DASH. In March 2006 the charity saw an opportunity to purchase the premises and successfully obtained a mortgage and are now proud owners of 25 Nightingale Road, Hitchin. |
